MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGERY
The original so-called posterior approach to the hip joint, leading to the fundament backwards at an angle of about 20º under the palpable side of the hip bone, is selected to be the surgical access to the hip joint. The cutting/scar length is usually about 10 to 12 cm. The operation itself is performed in a very gentle way and with regard to the anatomical conditions. We attach more importance to the thoroughness of the procedure as to the short operation times.
The resurfacing lasts approximately 90 minutes. In this way the muscles are only affected through the detachment of very small muscles, turned outwards. At the end of the operation this musculature will be thoroughly sewn on. The musculature important for stability and movability is not affected during the operation.
So the patients can move themselves on the day of the operation already and on the next day they can already stand up and go.
The suture technique for skin incision was taken over form cosmetic surgery to achieve the best possible results and to preserve good appearance after the operation.
